Who We Are

Eastpoint is a non-denominational church that is all about helping people take next steps with God. We are about building relationships with one another and loving others like Jesus did. It is our hope that you feel at home and know that whoever you are and whatever you believe, you are welcome here.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus who share their faith with others.

Our Story

In March of 2004 Scott & Beth Taube, their three girls and two other families moved from Ohio to plant Eastpoint. In partnership with Restoration House Ministries out of Manchester, NH the church launched from the old Maine Mall Cinema with 170 local people in attendance. From the beginning God confirmed a very specific call for Scott to lead a church plant in the Greater Portland area. That confirmation continues with hundreds of people placing their faith in Jesus and following Him. After several temporary places, we are currently gathering in a permanent 92,000 square foot location that houses both our church family and The Point Community Center. It’s an amazing gift to our community and a tool that has allowed us to connect with thousands of people. God continues to prayerfully move us further into the Greater Portland, helping us to network with numerous social service agencies where we connect with many who are taking interest in the gospel of Jesus. Seeking God in prayer has always been a hallmark of everything that happens inside our Eastpoint Community as well as the incredible connections made outside our four walls. We praise God for all He has done and keeps doing.
