Feeling Called To Serve?

Mark 10:45 says, ‘For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.’

At Eastpoint, we believe that serving isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are as followers of Jesus. It’s not about obligation, it’s about love. A response to the calling God places on our hearts. When we serve, we growcloser to Jesus, deeper within our church family, and more connected to the community around us.

So in this season, we invite you to ask: Where is God calling me to serve?

Serving with Eastpoint

This ministry is responsible for creating a warm and friendly environment at Eastpoint. Our roadies, greeters, information kiosk attendants, ushers, welcome desk attendants, and café hosts all work together to welcome our guests.

The goal of the Tech Team is to create a distraction free environment, where people are free to worship.  Serving on the Tech Team provides an opportunity to use your gifts and talents to operate audio, video, and lighting, to support the services.  There are also opportunities to serve in children’s, student’s, and young adults ministries on Sunday’s and for special events.

This ministry shares the love of Jesus with the youngest members of our church family. Whether you enjoy teaching kids, caring for infants, or helping out with administration, this is a great place to make a difference in the lives of Eastpoint families.

Student Ministry is designed to help middle school and high school students know Jesus, apply His teachings, and live out His mission. If you have a heart for middle or high school students, this is the ministry for you.

If you love connecting with college students, young professionals, or young married couples, consider joining our Young Adults Ministry Team. From leading a Life Group to mentoring or helping with events, we have plenty of opportunities for you to plug in.

Our Outreach Ministry invites you to join the harvest by bringing the love of Jesus beyond our walls and into Greater Portland. Whether by sharing the gospel and caring for the homeless with the Street Disciples, or by bringing hope to those in Cumberland County Jail as they navigate reentry, we live out Jesus’ Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.

The Point was designed to provide a place for people to engage with the Greater Portland community and to be a resource for our region through hosting events, serving our community, and having a free space for families to bring their kids to play. Point Hosts and the Point Rapid Response team help us engage with people and events coming into the building, provide a warm and welcoming space, and assist the community as they use the community center

Intimacy with Jesus is what we were created for. It is where abundant life is found. The prayer ministry team is vital to helping to create a culture of prayer where others can know Him and experience His transforming love and power. This team is for those who have found Jesus’ presence to be their source of living water and who have a heart to not only help move others toward Him but desire to see a culture of prayer become the norm.

The goal of our care team is to create a culture of care throughout our church family. When we care for people well, we love like Jesus loves. Our care team desires to support others in emotional, spiritual, and practical ways in times of struggle moving them toward a place of hope, healing, and wholeness.
